Geology Modeling in RMSP

News > Geology Modeling in RMSP

RMSP's geology modeling tools build complete geological models in a fully scriptable environment:

  • Signed distance function: signed distances between pairs or groups of categories, with decimation of redundant data to speed up processing and reduce volume bias.
  • RBF estimator: deliberately exposed for control and flexibility, with kernel specification, locally varying anisotropy and any type of spatial and control data.
  • Surface modeler: geological volumes from numerical data, refined with lineations, points, polylines, structural planes and terminations.
  • Contact and offset surface modelers: surfaces directly from contact data, or from a reference surface with a minimum offset.
  • Vein modeler: veins and narrow tabular solids with minimum thickness, reference surfaces and interactions with other veins or surfaces. Dozens of veins can be generated at once.
  • Geologic sequence: combine solids with topography and parent, chronological, cross-cutting and nesting relationships into one complete model.
  • Structural plane data: structural information from meshes, alpha and beta angles, normals, points and polylines, integrated with the surface modeler.

Spend less time clicking through dozens or hundreds of geological units, and more time on interpretation and decision-making. Contact us at contact@resmodsol.com to schedule an RMSP demo.
