Python Fundamentals and Estimation with RMSP: Perth Workshop

Ana Chiquini and Dhaniel Carvalho led our five-day, hands-on workshop "Python Fundamentals and Estimation with RMSP" in Perth, Australia, from March 24 to 28, 2025.

Participants learned Python from scratch, became familiar with the tools and workflows for resource estimation in RMSP, and gained hands-on experience with guidance from senior industry experts:

• Day 1: Introduction to Python, Jupyter Notebooks and essential data science packages
• Day 2: Data visualization in Python and introduction to RMSP
• Day 3: Resource modeling workflow setup and exploratory data analysis
• Day 4: Variogram calculation and modeling
• Day 5: Estimation and validation
